Hi
How can I keep the original number to show up when transferred through Cisco call manager? (using Cisco CM 7)
Source Number: 1111111
Destination Number: 222222 (but transfers to 333333)
But on number 333333 I see caller id as 222222 not 111111 - how do I retain the original number to see 111111?
All the above numbers are External numbers (just using the above as an example)
Thanks

If the transfer taking place over SIP trunk, change 'Calling Party Selection' to First Redirect Number (External).

we use BRI not SIP And where is this option on CUCM7

But how is your BRI connected to CUCM?

BRI connects to VG router - is this your q?

But BRI should be configured in cucm as SIP trunk, mgcp, sccp or h323? What are you using.

MGCP

ok will give this a go and let you know - will this cause the gateway to restart or reset? any outage?

Any change in MGCP require gateway rest from CUCM

so what is the impact? will this cause phones to reload? is this a major change?

sorry, do you think this would cause phones to reload? what is the impact for me to determine to do in hours or out of hours?

I know it's an old post but in case anyone else is curios, resetting the mgcp gateway in CUCM will restart the mgcp process on the gateway itself and drop all calls but phones themselves will NOT reregister.
