Callmanager 5.x + AD + EM

Hi,

I'm deploying a CCM 5.x with AD sync and extension mobility.

What is the best way to make the user to user profile association, considering that all the users will be imported from the AD.

Is it possible to use BAT, in 4.x this doesn't work because the users are already in the Directory.

I would just like not to have to make 500 association by hand.

The answer is no. It is not possible and it is not supported still. Although 5.x changed the AD integration mechanism in 5.0.4, and it appears as if both clusters can "share" the same corporate directory server so if the users holder contains users in both cluster A & B, thus that two pubs can grab same copy from the same server as their local CM DB so hopefully EM users can get local authenticated....but in reality, those dial-plan info/device info are kept in separate places in two different clusters' databases, so in that sense EM will not work cross clusters. In fact, if we really have to make such a big change in architecture, we are better of just use one single cluster instead and distribute multiple servers cross WAN links.
