Can 7942G be used as a home phone

Hi i have a 7942G, can this be used as a stand alone VOIP phone. Can this be configured to work with google voice.

you may try with SIP Firmware and configure SIP proxy settings. Looks like google voice works with android phone dialer.

With the correct configuration & the right equipment, yes, a Cisco phone can be used as a home phone.

Can this be configured to work with google voice.

No.  Google Voice do NOT offer SIP registration.
