Can't access Cisco Catalyst 2960-S 24PS-L console interface

Hello All,

I purchased a Cisco Catalyst 2960-S 24PS-L two weeks backs. When I plug devices on ports, all the 24 ports remain switched off.

So I decided to connect mini-usb console cable to be sure that ports are enabled through putty software. Unfortunately, trying to access the interface, the following message appears "Unable to open connection to COM port. Unable to open serial port"

 Is anything wrong with the way I connected?

Note: running Cisco usb console driver 3.1 and PuTTY 0.67

I think its related to wrong com port number, how did you identified your com port number ??
