CCME - All phones randomly show 'CM DOWN'

Hi

A customer has just called saying their phones were cutting out (7906's)

I popped in and observed the handsets loosing their standard screens and going blank - in a sort of 'regsitering' manner - then coming back OK. During the time they were off they showed the message 'CM DOWN'

The 2801 box was alive and well on the network and had an uptime of only 2 weeks. Any suggestions? I've rebooted it now but I suspect this issue may still be there..

Phones go through that exercise when they loose heartbeat responses from CME. Others may have additional input here; but, at a minimum I would suggest adding something to monitor the router's CPU, memory, and response time via SNMP. If the phones and CME are on the same LAN a delay or packet loss is unlikely so a memory leak or other router-side issue seems more probable.
