Hello, I am starting to study for CCNA voice.
I understand it is good to get a second hand 2800 series router with IOS 15 and CME 8 for home lab preparation.
However, most second hand 2800 series routers have older IOS and CME versions installed.
Therefore, what is my situation regarding having to buy licence to install more recent IOS and CME versions ?
i.e do I need to buy a licence for both IOS 15 and CME 8 ?
If so, is there any sort of student licencing plan ?
If I do need to buy licences, what sort of prices am I looking at ?
Lastly, if I do manage to buy a second hand 2800 series with IOS 15 and CME 8, do I still need to buy licenses or will this software be activated from the previous owner ?
