Hi,
I understand that the license will have to be regenerated in case of IP address change of cucm.
But how about if I only change the netmask with ip unchanged '?
Do I still need to regenerate the license and reinstall it?
Thanks!

Yes
Cisco Unified Communications Manager on VMware on Cisco UCS B-Series Blade Servers uses a different licensing model than Cisco Unified Communications Manager on an MCS server. The MAC address of the NIC card is no longer used to associate the license to the server.
Instead, the license gets associated to a license MAC, which is a 12 digit HEX value created by hashing the following parameters that you configure on the server:
•Time zone
•NTP server 1 (or "none")
•NIC speed (or "auto")
•Hostname
•IP Address (or "dhcp")
•IP Mask (or "dhcp")
•Gateway Address (or "dhcp")
•Primary DNS (or "dhcp")
•SMTP server (or "none")
•Certificate Information (Organization, Unit, Location, State, Country)
The ways to obtain the license MAC are as follows:

java

Jamie is right
you will have to rehost the licenses using the new license mac that will be generated when the mask is changed if it is a virtual system. You can rehost the license to the new license MAC on cisco license website or send licensing@cisco.com a request to rehost. If however you have version 9 then you are using ELM, which will generate a license request for you which you can enter after you furfill your PAK.
