Cisco 7911 wont restart after attempted firmware update

Hi All,

I have a Cisco 7911 handset which I attempted a firmware upgrade that failed.  I thought I would perform a factory reset by using the methods advised in other posts but this has succeeded in destroying my handset.

I can Hold down the # and perform the various reset methods, but the phone stays blank and idle and does not reset itself

I have left it for 30 minutes to no avail.

Can you please assist me

Hello Chris,

If i undesratdn correctly , the upgrade fails on the 7911 , so you went to factory reset by unplug the network cable , press the # button and connect the cable , the handset because blinking and then you released your hand from the # and pressed 123456789*0# right ?

and then there is no affect on the phone right ?

if you did exactly as the above and the phone didn't try to upgrade then you have a hardware problem becasue when you do the above , the phone starts communicating with the TFTP to get a new firmware since with the hardware reset the firmware has been deleted.
