Cisco 7960 and Wireless Headset

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this post...

I recently got a Plantronics CS55 wireless headset for my Cisco 7960g. Rather than getting the HL-10 lifter, I got the APC-4 adapter. I'm trying to be able to answer/end calls from my headset without being near my phone. I've read that the APC-4 adapter doesn't support the 7960, but was wondering if anyone else has got it to work? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Not going to work; the EHS cable needs the phone to speak a protocol on the Aux port that only the 79x2 and 79x5 phone firmware has. You'll need a lifter or a newer phone.
