I am replacing Cisco 7821 Model phones with Cisco 8811 phones. At the time of deployment, the voice router was accidentally restarted and when the router was back online the 7821-phone registered and working but not the 8811. The 8811 phones were stuck with "Phone VPN connection failed" and the cancel button doesn't work either. The phones stood in this manner overnight. Then the next day I unplugged and plugged the phones and they registered.
I need help with the following: I want to disable the VPN option on the 8811 phones or find a way to have the cancel button work when it has the VPN failed error. I looked all over the internet and can't seem to find a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated.
