The ATA 187 isn't officially supported by CME yet. It is on the roadmap for sometime around Summer 2011, which would be CME 8.7 or 9.0.
If you want, though, try integrating it with a SIP trunk to SCCP CME, or register to SIP CME, and see how it behaves. You may get basic functionality working for doing what you're looking for it to do. Though, you're on your own until it's supported if issues arise.

I am also looking for this exact solution. I have the ATA-187 in hand, and a CME on a 3925. Would love to make these work now. Or, utilize a PAP2T until the support for 187 arrives.
My searches have found this document which is aimed at the UC500, but is close:

I'd much rather use my 187s, and the above guide may help. I am looking for a specific solution for the 187, if possible tho!
Thank you.
