Hello,

I have a question regards a Cisco Phone 6901.

I just bought 3 to use with my SIP PBX, i didn`t know that is so hard to config this phone in order to work with SIP. I spended all the day to find out how to upgrade to SIP firmware and now i`m stuck at SEPXXXXXXXXXX.cnf.xml i cannot find a exemple for this phone model.

Maybe someone with call manager can help me with this file, in this moment the phone is keep asking the tftp server for files in loop i guess that the SEP.cnf.xml is not right.

Thanks a lot.

Judging from the logs above, I can say the phone is "hitting" the TFTP server, which means DHCP Option 150 is working (correctly).

So this means you'll need a few more files:

  1. The phone configuration file, SEP2C31246EDCF6.cnf.xml;
  2. SIP firmware version 9.3(1)SR2;
  3. XMLDefault.cnx.xml file; and
  4. Dialing plan file

Thank you for your time, now is working finally i find`it out.

The problem was in freepbx, i have to enable voice over tcp, default is on UDP and cisco knows SIP only on TCP. After this changes the phone register without problemes.

Can be closed.
