Cisco IP communicator failed to initialise on Win 7 machines

Hi!

One of our customers are migrating from XP ti Win 7 (32 bit mode).

CIPC on XP works fine without issues.

On XP they get "Communicator Exception Error - Cisco IP Communicator failed to initialise and will now exit"

We have tried 7.0.3(3), 7.0.4 and the latest 7.0.5.

CUCM version is 7.1(3).

The LAn switches are HP Procurve.

I can not find this anywhere in the release notes and from what I understand CIPC would work on Win 7 in 32 bit mode.

Any ideas?

Hi Anna

try to run the CIPC in Windows Vista SP2 Compatibility mode , worked for me once .
