Cisco IP Phone 8865 Require Password When Go to Admin Settings

Hi all,

I have an ISR 4321 working as CME for about 11 Cisco Phone 8865.
But when you go to settings -- Admin Settings, the phones ask for a Password, I have tried the password used to login to the router but did not work.

Anyone knows anything related to this?

Hello @buquecelestino,

The password prompt you are seeing on the phones is likely related to the phone's administration settings and is separate from the router's login credentials.

This password is set up and managed through the CME.

By default, the administration password on Cisco IP phones is typically blank or set to the default value "cisco."
