Hi,
We have CUCM 10.01 and Presense server with Jabber 12.1. From normal desk phone there is no issue with outgoing calls. However when dialled from Jabber, the call disconnects after 4 rings if the other party didn't pick up the call. If they manage to pick, then it connects and works fine. Is there a settings in Presense or Jabber's config file that restricts outgoing calls? Any help apperciated. Thanks.
Regards

Hi there,
It took a while but managed to find the settings and fixed it today.
In CUCM under device settings, there is "SIP Profiles". One sip profile for CUP is created which has "Timer Invite Expiers (seconds)" option. It was 15 seconds, increased to 30 seconds and now the call goes longer till reach voicemail if unattended.
Hope this helps if anyone has very similar issues.

are you using deskphone control for Jabber or CSF devices?

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the response. Yes we use CSF device profiles created for each jabber account and choose "Use my computer for calls". We are in the process of moving away from hardware to softphone model. So the users do have their desk phone configured with same number, but unplugged. Will that be any issue?

its obviously not the CSS as you are able to connect when picked up. what is different in the way these CSF devices call out, compared to desk phones?

Do one thing. generate RTMT report for a sample call and check who initiated the termination (whether its jabber, cucm or remote phone). Accordingly we can suggest. Yes there are settings for Jabber under sip profile to control the timers but you can't modify them without confirming that jabber terminates the call. Also, check what is the cause value for the termination message

Hi Mohammad,
I have tested calling my own mobile from jabber and witnessed it dropped the call after 4 rings. From desk phone it keeps ringing more than 8 rings until the remote phone initiate voicemail.
So I can confirm its jabber as other desk phone doesn't disconnect.

Hello Mohammad,
Unfortunately, the RTMT is only registering calls that is successfully connected. In this instance, I am not seeing any outgoing calls while the call gets disconnected after 4 rings. Is there any settings to log even if the call is not connected?
