Hi,
One of my client have one MCS7816-H3 server with 2GB memory. Now they want to upgrade this server with 4GB memory. When I search in cisco I found that MEM-7816-H3-2GB= is the part number for the particular server. But this part is in EOS. Can any one know that there any replacement for this part?. One of my distributor send me MEM-7816-I4-2GB= as a replacement. Is this part is compatable with the above server?.
Thanks in advance.

I doubt it since they are likely different CPU/chipsets on the motherboards. I can't find the 7816-I4 in the Cisco documentation to compare though.
Just order the HP-equivelent part. The Cisco document shows the 7816-H3 was an HP DL320 G5. The HP QuickSpecs for this server show the HP part numbers and valid memory configurations for that chassis.

Hi Jonathan,
Could you please help me to find out the IBM part number for MEM-7816-I4-2GB=
I tried to find out from IBM site, there are lot of 2GB memory part numbers which confused me.
I understand that IBM server model for MCS 7816-I4 is IBM x3250-M2
Your help is higly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sanadh
