Am planning to purchase a CISCO Call Manager Server hardware and a software also for a Hotel and it is new installation about to be made. So my plan is to do everything IP based including the phone. So I like to know the best Call manager Server Hardware and software IP Phone for a Hotel form your experience. Thank you.

Hi Milkyas,

1) Please edit the subject to be describe your issue. "CISCO unified communication manager" doesn't describe your issue so anyone looking at this topic could decide they have nothing to add and skip it entirely. 

2) You do not purchase a UC suite based on whether it's for a hotel or not but according to the demands of your system, administrators and users. It depends on the number of endpoints, what each phone is expected to support, the scaling of the system, the performance etc. 

These questions are best addressed to an account manager. You need to supply exact demands in order to receive the solution you need at a cost which isn't bloated out of proportion.  

For example, you don't need a system which supports 100,000 endpoints and 8 geographical sites if the hotel has 100 endpoints and doesn't need a disaster recovery site.

If the total number of users is less, then you can go with CUCMBE6K as it includes both hardware and software as a package for small business solution

Hi Milkyas,

If the Hard Phone count exceed 1000 then go for BE7K and if less then 1000 then go for BE6K.

You can buy multiple hardware from HA perspective.

If you looking for other product like hotel pack to work on top of CUCM, then you go for Imagicle Hotel Pack.

I STRONGLY suggest you reach a Cisco Partner for assistance on this, as all the other guys have mentioned, there are way too many factors to consider, which it seems you're unaware of, you do not simply buy a solution saying "it's for a hotel, give me the regular package", you need to consider number of endpoints, underlying infrastructure, rack space and power in your data center, number of calls at any given time, etc. just to mention a few.

The Cisco partner will ask you a lot of questions of what you need, before they can tell you what might be the best solution for your scenario.

The Hotel is a 200 Room Hotel so based on the information that I get from Rajkumar I read about BE6K sounds a good solution. But I didn't yet decided on it. So my requirement is as bellow :

1. 200 rooms so it needs 200 extensions 10 contingency for it 

2. 50 admin phones extensions 5 contingency

3.  The Hotel system is Opera Micros and the IP Phone needs to be interfaced with Hotel System

4. 42'' Rack is ready for the IP phone and also for cable management. In which the cabling could take half of the rack. 

5. The server needed the IP Phone Model and needs to be rack mountable.

6. The Call Manger Server software specific model based on the above requirement.  

8. The software need to have a Call accounting system embedded on it,

You really need to go for system integrator or vendor.

cucm with BE6k 2 server will help you and for billing you have imagicle bully blue along with their hotel pack.

Many things are involved from budget, procurement,design,implementation and testing.

This has to be taken care by Cisco partner or system integrator.

BE6K is the best for this. But Just want let you know better thing is get a quote from cisco gold partner & give the information/requirements if you are not a networking person.
