hi all,
i have one confusion related to call manager failover..i have one call manger 6.0 cluster at one of my customer. publisher ip is 172.20.30.2 and subscriber ip is 172.20.30.3 both are connected on one switch and dhcp is configured for issuing ip's for voice and data .. the dhcp config for voice vlan on switch is
ip dhcp pool voice
network 172.20.30.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 172.20.30.254
option 150 ip 172.20.30.2
according to above config 172.20.30.2 is ip of publisher, which will issue to ip phone via option 150 commnad and there is no configuration of subscriber ...what if publishers goes down, then how phone will look for subscriber whos ip is 172.20.30.3 ...

Hello nasry,
To have redundant TFTP service, you will need to run TFTP service on both of your nodes and configure a 2nd IP in the option 150 entry.

Hi,
This only affects new phones that you add to the system when the publisher is down.
Existing phones get the CCMs they can register [CCM Group] and the SRST reference when they get their config from the tftp server.
You can check that directly on the phone:
Settings/Device Configuration/CallManager Configuration
Here you see in real time how the phone switches over.
Cheers,
Martin
