I run call call manager V4.0 with English at the moment, we are going to add 60+ IPT extension for a new plant in Japan. How to add additional language support (i.e. display japanese name/softkey at IPT phone) in the existing call manager servers? When a IPT extension (with Japanese calling party)calls out to a English ipt extension, Does it display Japanese or English. Do I need to procure Japanese license/software to support dual languages in Call manager?

Hi Au Ray,
I am sorry for the lateness of this reply :( You do not need any extra licensing for multiple language support in CCM. Here are some additional notes for using the Locale installer with CCM 4.0;
Using the Cisco IP Telephony Locale Installer with Cisco CallManager 4.0(1)sr2

Cisco IP Telephony Locale Installer Release Notes for Cisco CallManager 4.0(1)sr2
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_callmg/locinst/li401rn2.htm
Have a look for this file;
li-ffr.4-0-2-sr2-JPN.exe
Cisco Unified Communications Locale Installer 4.0(2)SR2 Japanese (Japan) for Cisco CallManager 4.0(2a)SR2a with 7905G/12G, 7960G/40G, 7961/41, and 7970/71 IP Phone support
Refer to the readme file that is posted next to the Cisco IP Telephony Locale Installer software for the complete list of supported languages and localized features.

Hope this helps!
