I have some 7841 phones that at first have no admin password needed. I am defaulting the phone, letting it connect to our system, and after it does so it needs an admin password Cisco. I can see in the XML that it is listed under phonepassword as Cisco. Is there a setting in CME that I can change to not need or blank the admin password? Or am I stuck manually editing every XML file manually to remove it(if that even works, have not tried it)?

Removal of password by using TCL script will work. I have tested it in my lab earlier and it does work.

Any chance you can post an example of your TCL script?
