In the line "associate profile 1 register MTP0021d80c67a0" - how does one determine what that device name MTP0021d80c67a0 should be? Or can it be random?
And this configuration is required for conference calling. Is that right? Thanks.

The device name is arbitrary. Generally people follow the naming of MTP/CFB + MAC.
As long as the device name and type in IOS config matches what you have in CUCM, there should not be a problem.

In older versions (NM-HDV) you had to use the MAC address as it was defined by the system.
In newer systems with PVDM2-X (C5510), you use a different set of configurations, which allow you to apply the name. For historical reasons the MTP
