CME Licensing Question

Hi folks,

I have a used 2921 CME router (C2921-CME-SRST/K9) and want to add Unity voicemail to it.  I can purchase a cheap SM-SRE-700 module for it but I need licenses for up to 50 people.  Can anyone help me understand which licenses (part numbers) I need to purchase?

Thanks.

Hi Cdowling,

The SM-SRE-700 module is EOS . As you looking for voicemail licenses for upto 50 people, I will suggest you to go with ISM-SRE-300-K9 module. When configured to run Cisco Unity Express software, the module supports up to 100 voice mailboxes and comes with 2 ports, with the ability to expand to 10 ports with software licenses. These ports can be shared with Automated Attendant or IVR, similar to other modules that run Cisco Unity Express.

Inderpal,

Thanks for your post and explanation.  If I could, I'd like to get your assistance with a quote.  What are the part numbers for the software components?

Thanks.

Hi Cdowling,

Please review the sample quote attached and let me know if you have any queries.

Thanks Inderpal,

Just trying to clarify a doubt in understanding PORT license for CUE.

If I purchase a ISM-SRE-300 or SM-SRE-710 module separately without CUE loaded, and then install CUE afterwards, does this mean I do not need to purchase PORT license as it should come with 2 PORT anyway?

This is just for a lab purpose. I understand I may have to purchase MAILBOX-5 licenses, but does it really require PORT license to be purchased as well?

Thanks in advance.

Joon

No need to purchase port license. If you are looking to expand , then you may purchase port licenses depending on the max limit supported for the module.

For eg  ISM-SRE-300 supports 10 ports.
