For both old and newer IP phones I was attempting to create a generic Dial plan which could Dial any ip4 address.
For example (<7,:192.168.1>xxx) will let you Dial any phone in that subnet by pressing 7 and then the last 3 digits of the phone. So a plan to dial any IP address would be great. Some of the older phones state you can supply a @ for a . or a colon. The full syntax of a phone would be [userID:]ip4address[:portnumber]
where [userID:] and [:portnumber] are optional.
