CUBE-ENT and HA when using two sites

Hello,

When using ISR 4400 for CUBE-ENT one can have HA using HSRP between two boxes. This has been supported for a long time, as long as the two "boxes" are in the same site (e.g. Datacenter).

Now my question is: is there any update to this HA scheme to be supported when those two boxes are in two separate sites? Or is it still constrained to the scenario were the two ISR (CUBE-ENT) have to be in the same site?

TIA

Alvaro

AFAIK the requirement is still the same.
If you are splitting the CUBE's across DC's, you cannot use HSRP. You could have an ACTIVE/ACTIVE CUBE deployment where the CUCM will be responsible for failover etc.

Thank you Nipun Singh Raghav.

I would have expected that by now, the requirement to have both CUBE-ENT in the same datacenter would have relaxed. Despite being in different datacenters one could use HSRP by VLAN extension. No having HA between CUBE-ENT in different datacenters forces to use more SIP licenses (in fact you have to consider them twice) and hence is more expensive when comparing with the HA mode (where you can use the RED option)
