Hello,
I have CUBE installed and configured in between OGW and TGW (regarding network diagram - see below) with allowed only SIP-to-SIP Connections.
In several cases, I'm getting 503 response from TGW, which CUBE sends to OGW as 500.
OGW ------------ CUBE ------------ TGW
==========================
------- INVITE------>|
<-----TRYING ----- |
| ------INVITE ---->
| <----TRYING ----
| <-------183---------
| <-------503---------
<---------183----------|
| --------ACK------->
<---------500----------|
--------ACK--------->|
My problem is, tahat OGW is sending INVITE again and generates too many calls :-(
I need to get 503 from CUBE to OGW.
Any ideas how to do something like SIP-to-SIP mapping? Or maybe another solution?

You can configure header-passing error-passthrough
voice service voip
sip
header-passing error-pass through
NB: CUBE supports 503 natively, so I am surprised that 503 is not passed to the other call leg..

Thanks for your quick answer, but this command is not accessible on my router:
ip2ip-gw(conf-serv-sip)#header-passing ?
I tried to enable just accessible part of that command:
!
voice service voip
allow-connections sip to sip
fax protocol t38 nse ls-redundancy 0 hs-redundancy 0 fallback pass-through g711alaw
modem passthrough nse codec g711alaw
sip
rel1xx disable
header-passing
sip-profiles 100
!
...but nothing has changed:
OGW:
-> SIP/SDP Request: INVITE
<- SIP Status: 100 Trying
<- SIP/SDP Status: 183 Session Progress, with session description
<- SIP Status: 500 Internal Server Error
-> SIP Request: ACK
TGW:
<- 195.28.68.18 SIP/SDP Request: INVITE
-> SIP Status: 100 Trying
-> SIP/SDP Status: 183 Session Progress , with session description
-> SIP Status: 503 Service Unavailable
<- SIP Request: ACK

May this be IOS dependent issue?

This is how you do it..
conf t
voice service voip
sip
header-passing (press enter), then on the next line
error-passthru

Oh... My bad.
So now it was enabled, but again... no change.
CUBE still answers with 500 instead of 503 :-(
But maybe it make sense...
You wrote that: CUBE supports 503 natively, so I am surprised that 503 is not passed to the other call leg..
This document says that: "SIP error responses that are not supported on the Cisco UBE...".
So maybe I need to investigate, why it's not passing through natively.
Do you know which debug could answer this question?

I suggest you upgrade the IOS on the gateway..What version of IOS are you running..

My gateway is Cisco 2821 with SP Services 12.4(24)T8 IOS.
That is the latest 12.4T IOS.
I am afraid that I don't have enough RAM/FLASH for IOS 15*.
I have only 254MB of RAM and 64 MB of FLASH.
