CUCM 10.5 - Getting ring back during error message

Hello,

We have an issue with our sip phones.  When we attempt to dial a number that does not exist we get a system error plus ring back at the same time.

To resolve this issue we enabled MTP on the device level.  Can someone please explain why this is necessary, or point me to documentation.  Are digits sent from a Cisco sip phone handled differently?

Are those Cisco or 3rd party SIP phones/

Try restarting IPVMS on all servers (IP Voice Media Streaming APP) through Serviceability webpage. if no luck, we need to get detailed IPVMS and CallManager logs.
