I'm receiving alerts about high cpu utilization like this:
"Processor load over 90 Percent.
kipvmsMixer00 (50 percent) uses most of the CPU.
Processor_Info:
For processor instance 1: %CPU= 99, %User= 37, %System= 13, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 1, %IOWait= 50, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0.
For processor instance _Total: %CPU= 99, %User= 18, %System= 56, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 0, %IOWait= 25, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0.
For processor instance 0: %CPU= 99, %User= 0, %System= 99, %Nice= 0, %Idle= 0, %IOWait= 0, %softirq= 0, %irq= 0.
The alert is generated on Thu Jul 30 00:04:06 MSD 2009 on node 172.30.77.10.
Memory_Info: %Mem Used= 55, %VM Used= 51.
Partition_Info:
Swap: %CPU Time=0, %Disk Used=47.
Active: %CPU Time=74, %Disk Used=92.
Common: %CPU Time=54, %Disk Used=23."
Does anybody know what process kipvmsMixer00 is doing?
CCM uptime now is about 150 days and this process start to use exactly 50% of CPU in 10 days after reload. I did not worry while overall loading was about 70-80 percent, but now it's critical.
Which service I should restart for dropping kipvmsMixer00?

Hi!
There's a known bug for this condition. Please refer to:
CSCsi08292 CUCM kipvmsd spiking CPU
Symptom:
CM enters code yellow; kipvmsd takes up to 25% cpu time
To verify:
ssh to CM and login to platform CLI
issue command 'show process load cont'
default sort order is by %CPU. If kipvmsd is sustained a top of list at 20% or
more CPU then system is affected.
Conditions:
Using Software conference bridge colocated on CM.
According to the bug details seems it's already fixed in your version. However you can try restarting the Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming
Application Service, monitor the system and see if the issue is not seen anymore. Otherwise contact TAC to see if there's a fix or ES available.
Regards,
Teresa.

Teresa, many thanks!
After restarting Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming Application Service kipvms takes less than 1% cpu!
Kind regards,
Alex
