I'm attempting to make calls between some SIP devices and SCCP devices.
What I've noticed is that all audio is being directed through the CUCM server and not going direct between devices.
Is this exepected behavior?
Is there a way to make them go direct?
I have DTMF intercept turned off for my SIP devices and no other MTP requirements are set (from what I can see).

Hi Philip,
This doesn't seems to be an expected behavior. Once signalling is established UCM should go out of the picture adn the RTP stream should get established between the two endpoints.
Why don't you take an ethereal capture of this see what's actually happening. Upload it here as well.

Actually I got it working. For some reason the CUCM server always invoked the MTP. I put the MTP in its own media group and now it all works fine.
I think it might be my SIP phone load causing this (I'm using non-Cisco SIP devices).
I will try again with some different phone loads to see what effect they might have.
Thanks for the reply.
