Hi,

First I have installed CUCM 7.0.1 version on VMWARE on my PC. The file .vmdk was about 7 GB big!!

I upgrade it to 7.1.3 version. But first I should upgrade it to 7.0.2 and that to 7.1.3. Also, I didn't know that I should have connection with NTP server that I can finish upgrade to 7.1.3!!! Be carefull with this. The .iso file was uploaded and in same part of upgrade it stoped and  I should go from the beggining

So, after some time , I got the 7.1.3 version on my CUCM!!! But now, my  .vmdk have 28 GB!!!! I don't have any free space on my hard disk!!

Do you have idea how to reduce this size!?

I'm 95% sure that it is not possible, because it is VMWARE and it is not possible to reduse size of .vmdk file. Also, I don't know how can I do that on the CUCM.

But stil there is 5% ....

Any idea?

Thanks,

Vlaho

CUCM has to pre-allocate some disk space for file systems and database.  28G is normal for 7.1.x.

You may use "thin provision" of VM disk.  But a better solution is to get a bigger hard drive.
