Is CUP 7.0 supported with CUCM 8.0?
The software compatibility matrix on CCO for CUP 7.0 has no info about CUCM 8.0 - so not clear if supported or not.

No it is not supoported. Once you move to Unified CM 8.x you need to be at CUP 8.x.
