So just aquick one on CUCM upgardes.
I needs to upgrade my CUCM version from 7.0(2) to 7.0(2a) SU3 as I am about to deploy CUPS 8.0(3) and CUCM 7.0(2a) SU1 and above is required.
That said when i down the CUCM version - the release notes link take me to general upgrade web page. The lastest release notes are for 7.0(2a)
which states the following :
COPY /B UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.20000-5.sgn.iso_part1of2+UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.20000-5.sgn.iso_part2of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.20000-5.sgn.iso |
The md5sum for the final file 03dcc9defcef6ba3d1196ea4820c7eae UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.20000-5.sgn.iso
but the 7.0(2a) SU3 files are:
COPY /B
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso_part2of1+UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso_part2of2
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sng.iso
I can't find the md5sum for the final file of UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sng.iso. as there isn't any release notes for the SU3 version.
My MD5 checker tools gives :
CE1E585A3512BC26DB8D842180FA44D9 UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso
so anyone know if it should be a different MD5 value (i'd expect so) and if so how the hell do i check it?
thanks in advance for any advise

Your checksum is correct. You can get the information you need from the
Read Me file. The best way to get to the Read Me is to add the "part 1 of
2" image to your download cart. Then go to your cart and expand the line
item for the download file. You will see a link to the Read Me file. The
link will download/open a PDF with the info you need.
From the file:
Step 1 From www.cisco.com, download the two UCSInstall files.
Step 2 Combine the two files using one of the following methods:
Linux
If you have a Unix/Linux system, the two parts can be combined with this
command:
cat UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso_part1of2
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso_part2of2 >
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso
Windows
If you have a Windows system, cut and paste the following command from this
document into the command prompt (cmd.exe) to combine the two parts:
COPY /B
UCSInstall_UCS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso_part1of2+UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.
sgn.iso_part2of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso
Step 3 Use an md5sum utility to verify that the MD5 sum of the final file is
correct.
The MD5 for this download is: ce1e585a3512bc26db8d842180fa44d9
Step 4 Install the Service Update file:
UCSInstall_UCOS_7.0.2.23900-4.sgn.iso
HTH.

Bill
