Hey All,
Im importing a bunch of translation patterns... most have the discard digits field set to PreDot etc. However, upon import this field is reset back to <none>.
I thought there may have been a formatting issue, so I manually configured a translation pattern with the discard digit field set to PreDot (under called party transformation). I then exported the translation pattern, then without touching the file, uploaded back into the same CUCM.. then imported with override. The Discard Digits field was reset back to <none>.
Is this a bug?? I'm running version 10.5.2.
Thanks
Ben

Hi Ben,
It looks like you are running into the following bug
https://tools.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCur99180/?reffering_site=dumpcr
Symptom:
BAT is not modifying Route Patterns using the Import option.
There are no errors but the Route Patterns are not modified
Export is used first to export all the Route Patterns,
the csv file is modified to change Route Patterns ( urgent priority, discard digits, call classification, etc)
The file is imported and validated and when the Import task is done the changes are not applied.
Steps to reproduce
1. go to bulk administration, Import/Export and select Route Pattern
2. Download the .tar after exporting it
3. untar it with 7zip
4. Modify the csv, change urgent priority, discard digits, call clasification
5. Create the .tar with 7 zip (header and routepattern.csv)
6. Modify the routepattern.csv file
7. Import the .tar in Bulk Admin, Add Files
8. Validate the .tar under Import/Export
9. Import the .tar under Import/Export Import and select Route pattern (no errors are seen)
9. check route patterns but the fields were not modified
Conditions:
The issue is seen in CUCM 10.x
First discovered in 10.0.1, also affecting 10.5.1.10000-7
It works fine in CUCM 8.6
Workaround:
Delete the Route Patterns and Import them again with the changes.
Creating the Route Patterns also works fine
You can either use the workaround or upgrade to a minimum 10.5(2.12900.14) version.
