CUCM Upgrade Node license part number

Hi

What is the difference between these two licensing part# ?

Both are same? During Upgradation of CUCM shall I get feature license for CUCM Node either of this part# or is there any difference?

UCM-8X-ADD-UWL - Additional Communications Manager 8.x Node - CUWL only
UCM-UPG80-UWL-K9 - Unified Communications Manager upgrade to 8.x CUWL only

If you have a cluster with 2 nodes (1 Pub + 1 Sub) and want  to add an additional Sub, you need to purchase an additional node license

UCM-8X-ADD-UWL - Additional Communications Manager 8.x Node - CUWL only

If you want to upgrade from CUCM 7.x to 8.x, you need to purchase :

UCM-UPG80-UWL-K9 - Unified Communications Manager upgrade to 8.x CUWL only

Hi

I agree with you one is ADD node and another is upgrade. From Cisco we get PAK number with both of this part#. and we register this PAK number at cisco online to generate license file.

UCM-8X-ADD-UWL

UCM-UPG80-UWL-K9

both part# are for CUCM version 8.x

Question is : If I am upgrading CUCM to version 8.x, and apply license file gerenated by UCM-8X-ADD-UWL instead of UCM-UPG80-UWL-K9,

does system will not accept? are these license files are same as feature functionality level? Only part# are different or is there any technical feature difference there between these two part#?

Also another query I would like to know, If I upgrade CUCM version from 6.x to 7.x and I apply license file of 8.x is there any impact?
