I have a pbx which connected to PSTN.
the pbx is connected to a router via ISDN E1.
when my users dial 9 they want to hear pstn dial tone.
right now my users can make call with pstn without hearing dial tone.
for solving this issue I have provided
this config:
dial-peer voice 5 pots
incoming called-number 9
port 0/0/1:15
after this config they can hear a dial tone after pressing 9
but the problem is I have other dial-peer too..
now they dial any number then they can hear dial tone!!!
when I provided DID on other dial-peer execpt above dial-peer
now the problem came back and they can not hear dial-tone again after pressing 9
please let mw know your issue or hints.

Hi
If you have been using CUCM i suppose that there is an option in the route pattern configuration page to provide outside dial-tone.
Please do check if this option helps you...

No Dial Tone On Digital Voice Port
Check to see if the dial-peer pots are configured with the direct-inward-dial command. This command disables dial tone from the voice port. For example:
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern .T
direct-inward-dial
port 0:DIf you remove the direct-inward-dial command from the dial-peer pots, then the digital voice port provides dial tone.
Also can you please upload the config for that especifically POTS.

u can make dial peer as 9 only whihc open the line to the pbx then the pbx should handel the dialed number
or send the 9 to the pbx and configure the pbx to open the pstn line if 9 dialed then after user dial 9 will go to the pstn and then can dial normally
