DSP Question- do I need them ?

I have  the following cards in a router to be installed but I need to check the required DSP`s as I need to move some around to another router. I checked with the DSP calculator but need a 2nd opinion

NM HDV2-2T1/E1 x 2 ports

VWIC2 2MFT T1/E1 x 2ports

VWIC3-2MFT T1/E1 x 2ports

total 6x E1

I`m running 3945 on IOS15  , the calculator states I do not require any DSP`s is this correct? It is only a E1 Gateway no resources as such Conf, Transcording etc

This actually the 3rd time he's asking this same question.

Short answer.

Are they going to be data E1s???? then NO

Are they going to be voice E1s, therefore doing voice termination??? then YES

I have a card on my router and it's going to be doing voice termination, do I need DSPs??? YES

If you're going to do voice and the calculator says you don't need DSPs most likely you're not using it properly or filling in the right info.

The reason it has appeared 3 times, was when I created this thread  nothing happened when I rechecked-  so thinking I was fat fingers created it again  Dont know if the Board was slow or what but it did not appear until the next day at least
