I have the following voice-port config in a 1700 router with a E&M voice card:
voice-port 2/1
operation 4-wire
type 5
signal immediate
We recently bought a 2901 router without this card but with a FXS and I was wondering if there is any way I can replicate the 1700 voice port config to the 2901 or maybe a workaround to make the PBX "talk" as it is with the old router?
I know that FXS and FXO are always considered to be a 2-wire operation interface so this command is not available for this type of interface but maybe there is a workaround that doesn't include buying the VIC3-EM card.
