EMCC and Enhanced Location CAC

Dear Community:

Some SRND documents (11.x and 12.x) state that Enhances Location Call Admission Control (ELCAC) does support Extension  Mobility Cross Cluster (EMCC) but Feature and Service Guide from 11.x and 12.x and 10.x claims that ELCAC does not support EMCC and RSVP needs to be used.

Who is right?

From CUCM 11.x SRND

"With Enhanced Location CAC in EMCC designs, the visiting cluster passes the location of the visiting phone to the home cluster. This allows the home cluster to associate the correct location to the visiting phone during registration. The following requirements must be met for Enhanced Location CAC to function in EMCC designs:"

From CUCM11.5 Feature and service guide:

estriction	Description
Unsupported Features	Location CAC is not supported, but RSVP-based CAC is supported.

EMCC calls don't support E-LCAC. Only RSVP CAC is supported while the
E-LCAC check is bypassed by HC.

I think that protects cisco as you need to refer to services guide :)

SRND for CUCM 11.5 says clearly:

"With Enhanced Location CAC in EMCC designs, the visiting cluster passes the location of the visiting phone to the home cluster"

There is no space for interpretation here.

Lool. I am not defending them :).

Anyway only RSVP is working not ELCAC
