Enabling full E1/PRI on router

Hi,

Can someone guide me that how to enable full 30 channel pri on router knowing that telco has enabled the same fron theri end. Bwfore we had 10-channel pri. Voice gateway protocol is h323 not MGCP.

Hi

You might be using pri-group timeslots 1-10 command in controller E1 for 10 channels.

Remove it and add pri-group timeslots 1-31

controller E1 0/0/0

framing NO-CRC4

pri-group timeslots 1-10,16

Yes please remove the comand pri-group timeslots 1-10,16 and enter the command which I have given above.

Please note if this is production router, do it in down time. As it requires to remove voice ports also.

is there any command or way to check on the router that telco has already enabled the full pri ?

Just configure above commands and fire 30 ISDN calls , If they are enable it will work.

show voice port summary , will give you rouer side of story. But actually all line are enabled or not can be checked by firing 30 calls at same time.
