I need to make changes to a few ephones such as username and number, but the GUI will not allow this.
Is there a way through command line interface?

Of course. CLI is what you use for professional configuration, the GUI is mainly for users to set CFA from home and things like that.

I figured out how to change the username for each ephone, but cannot remember how to change the User Number associated with it.
IE. Currently at 226. I want it to be 4279.

1. find on which DN tag the number is:
show ephone telephone 226
2. change number under said tag:
conf t
ephone-dn XX
number 4279

Thanks.
I was using just ephone, not ephone-dn command.
Appreciate the help.
PS. I tried to find the Command Line Interface guide for v12.4 (UC520), and cannot locate it.
If you have a link, that would be great.
thanks again.
