Shaggy,
1. Physically attach the module to the base phone
2. In CUCM, create a Phone Button Template that places line appearances on the side car (Device>Device Settings>Phone Button Template
- You would start configuring the side car buttons at button 7
3. In CUCM, add the Expansion Module to the phone (Device>Phone)
4. In CUCM, add a line to the phone and choose one of the sidecar buttons
HTH.
Regards,
Bill

Hi Bill,
Your suggestion was helpful and worked, but I faced another issue as the user had two device ( 7965 & 7962 ) profiles, i added the expansion module to one device profile ( 7962 ) as the expansion module was connected to the 7962 phone, when the user tried to login it didnt prompt for which profile to login ( 7962 or 7965 ), by default it logged into 7965, i deleted the 7965 profile and user is able to view the button appearances now.
Is there a way, to include for a device profile prompt when user has more than one device profile ?
Thanks & Regards,
Shaggy.
