External call received to multiple cisco phones at same time.

One of our client had weird issue. External call received to multiple Cisco phones at same time. The weird part is external call is same number .

Calling party: Same number

Called Party: Multiple Cisco Phones ( All phones configured with different numbers). These numbers are not part of any hunt group or Call pick up group. Some users pick the call and call was stating as from Chinese Embassy. Only one time call got generated.

I need to know whether its a kind of any vulnerability or kind of a sip attack. Please suggest.

If those were from a block of contiguous numbers it might have been an auto-dialer that someone programmed to call with a recorded message.

Call received from one particular US number (+1-202-) to multiple cisco phones,almost all numbers are a kind of consecutive.

Then I'd think it was most likely some sort of auto-dialer
