Fax/Analog issues with ATA187 and CUCM8.5

I have an ATA 187 connected to CUCM 8.5. When I attempt to call the fax or analog phone attached to the ATA187 from outside the company it answers on the receiving end (at the ATA) but the calling side continues to ring. If I try calling from an internal extension, the fax picks up and I hear the fax tones on both sides of the call.

The ATA is set to Fax-Passthrough and the originating codec is 711ulaw.

Any guesses as to why this would be happening?

What is your PSTN connection?  SIP or PRI?   Is the connection local IE, not through the WAN?

The problem was fixed by upgrading the firmware on the ATA187.

i was wonddering if you got the ATA 187 to work? if so, do you think it is possible to send me one of your ATA(MAC address).cnf.xml files off your TFTP server? feel free to remove all of your network details from the file and replace them with an adjective.
