h323 gateway inbound caller id pots lines

I am trying to troubleshoot an intermittent inbound calling problem.

Right now I have some debugs enabled on the router and that output is being sent to a syslog server.

The calls are all coming inbound on POTS lines.

I have caller-id enabled on the FXO ports in the router.

In the debug output is see "[2/0/12] get_fxo_caller_id:Caller ID receive failed. parseCallerIDString:no data." and also "Calling Number=(TON=Unknown, NPI=Unknown, Screening=Not Screened, Presentation=Allowed)"

Is there anything else I need to do or check into to get caller id to work?

Could the caller id info be missing because the telco is not sending it?

Please paste your config and the best way to do it is running debug vpm signal and debug voice ccapi inou

Right on.

Actually I am currently working with TAC on this problem while also doing so research and testing as well.

The debugs are getting sent to a syslog server and the ones currently enabled are:

H.225:

H.225 ASN1 Messages debugging is on

Voice Port Module signaling debugging is on

CCAPI:

debug voip ccapi detail is ON (filter is OFF)

debug voip ccapi inout is ON (filter is OFF)

The example showing voice-port 2/0/12 that I inlcuded in the OP is from the currently enabled debugs sent to the syslog server.

Even with caller id enabled configured on the FXO ports I still cannot see the calling party number as indicated in the OP example.

Here is the current (edited) show run:

The caller id is not showing up because the telco is not sending the data to us.

FWIW my problem has been solved so this thread can be closed.
