H323 Trunk Issue between CUCM 8.0 and Avaya S8500 PBX

Hello,

I have set up a H323 Trunk between my CUCM 8.0 and an Avaya S8500. The signaling works fine but the RTP stream does not occurs and after 15 s the call drops automaticly. I have tried the trunk from a Cisco CUME 7.1 on a Cisco 2811 and it works fine. What can be the cause of the issue?

It sounds like H245 negotiation is not occurring.  Does Avaya want to see fast start or slow start media neogitation?

Run 'debug h225 ans1' 'debug h245 asn1' and 'debug ip tcp trans'.  At the connect there should be an h245 address, and a TCP link should open up to exchange media negotiation (MSD, MSDA, TCS, OLC, OLCA, etc.).

Make sure that the H323 gateway instance on CUCM has 'wait for far end h.245' unchecked, too.
