Anyone know what the normal behaviour of high availability on Presence 7 should be?
We are expecting dynamic failover with presence and call processing.
However we only seem to get call processing working and new clients fail to connect when the Primary server is down.
Is there also any good doco or lab sheets on presence 7 fail over.
Cheers,
Taff..

Check the server health screen (Help -> Show Server Health) and see if CUPC is talking with the Primary or Secondary server. If you select the Presence server health line, you'll see the Presence.Primary and Presence.Backup servers listed - just make sure they're the correct servers.

CUPC Client:
Logged in ok.
Connect to backup ok.
Presence failed - showed connecting to Primary, then backup then disconnecting pending retry then trying primary again.
Questions:
When connecting a new cupc client and primary presence is down. Should the client automatically connect to secondary or try primary first? Should its ip address change?

When CUPC successfully logs in for the first time, it'll retrieve the server list from CUPS and stores it locally on the client PC.
The next time CUPC tries to login, it'll try it's home node (specified on System > Topology) first. If the home node is down, it'll try the 2nd node.
