How time zones are managed by Call Manager 5.1.3?

Hi Mates,

I have a doubt with my call manager version 5.1.3

I need to configure the time for phones in Tel Aviv and within Date/Time Group Information I can choose these 2 time zones.

Jerusalem Standard Time - (GMT +02:00) Israel
Jerusalem Standard/Daylight Time - (GMT +02:00) Israel Daylight

Both are GMT+2 so, I understand the second one is for summer time, but the question is, if I choose it, I won´t need to change it any more, because the call manager has within its database the dates for the change of summer/winter time (adding or sustracting one hour)?

Is this right?

Also is there any guide/document where this is explained? I´ve not found anything specific for this in CCO.

Hello,

Yes , the daylight saving will not make you change the time in the summer or winter.

But be aware that there is a BUG about it .

So if you want to work properly , upgrade the firmware to at 8.1(2) for the IP Phones especially for 6940 and 7960 series.

Also check the firmware that now implemented on the CCM if it can be directly to 8.1(2) (check the release notes)
