how to add subscriber cucm in a cluster

Hi people,

I've managed to install a publisher and subscriber.

I have activated all the necessary services.

But wen i go to my pub (10.10.210.10) i can't see the secondary server in the list ( System -server)

I only see cucmpub.

for the pub i have 10.10.210.10 and the subcriber i configured it as 10.10.210.11

I can reach both webpages activated also.

Did i forgot something?

Do you see it under CUCM group??

Did you properly installed it as a SUB for that cluster??

Hi

I don't see it under cucm group.

But i think what went wrong.

I've installed 2 different cucm version

pub is installed as ( 711221900)

sub is installed as ( 71331900) i also see license warning system is operating on demo licenses in red.

Could this be a problem??

Have to mention this is for lab purposes

Yes version must be the same...

Also when you installed did you select that the sub was not the first node in the cluster...

Re-install your sub you will have to add the server to the publisher for the database to sync you will know if you got it right otherwise install will tell you.

This is of course if you say that the sub not the first node in cluster.

There's no way you could have installed a SUB on 7.1(3) when your pub is on 7.1.1, you installed another PUB, not a SUB for that cluster you had.

Versions need to match, so, either you upgrade to the same version you used for that PUB you installed and then use it to install a SUB, or use matching media for the PUB you have.

If you haven't, I recommend you to review the config guides on how to properly add a Subscriber in a cluster.

yes your right,

but i am re installing again.

while its installing it asks "is this the first node in the cluster"

i select no then its promping for a hostname of the cucm pub with ip address and securty password.

and of course i filled the information,

I am installing subscriber...but still having problems.

This time with the good version

i am receiving errors while installing:

Configuration validation with CUCMpub (10.10.210.10) failed.

This node is not found in CUCMpub's server

-Is this node configured on CUCMpub ======> YES

-Is CUCMpub the correct first node for this node?=======YES

What's going wrong???

Have you gone into the publisher and add the subscriber in the cucm administrator gui under the server section?

Also is the security password you are using the same between the two.

I suggest reading the documentation for the installation process.

Sorry I only got that your security passwords are the same.

You are saying you have added the subscriber node to the publisher in the CUCM administration GUI under the server information.

If you have not this is the source of your problems.

Its working the validation went fine after adding the secondary server under server section (CUCMsub)

I didnt knew that i had to add CUCMsub before subscriber installation finishing

to circumstances divorce.
