I need to know how to configure calling party transformation in my CUCM 8.5

In my company scenario, we are currently setting up a whistleblower hotline for both internal and external callers, when all incoming calls from either internal or external callers comes to the internal phone (ext 888), I want the incoming caller id to be display only as Unknown or Private.

Can anyone please give me some advice on how to do this inside my CUCM 8.5 ?

Hi ,

for version 8.5, have you try to:

1) In your 888 phone

PT: <change the internal phone PT to a 'new internal phone PT'>

2) Create a 'Translation Pattern' with:

 Translation Pattern: 888

 PT: <your internal phone PT>

CSS: <a 'new internal phone CSS' that has the 'new internal phone PT'>

 Calling Line ID Presentation: Restricted

Hope this helps.

Hi Morais,

Many thanks for your prompt solution and help, it is working now but setting Calling Line ID Presentation to Restricted will still show the caller-id for internal callers when they called to ext.888.

I have since entered 999 inside the Calling Party Transform Mask field and all the calls from internal callers are showing 999 as their caller-id now and I am happy as long as it doesn't show any real internal caller-id and ext no.
