How to configure MGCP Fractional T1 on CUCM 7.x

Hi All,

Are there any special steps to configure a fractional T1 or E1 for a MGCP Gateway

on the CUCM Gateway config page?

Let`s say where you only want to use/configure channels 1-12?

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...

You need to use the service parameter "Change B-Channel Maintenance Status" to busy out the unused channels from CCM .

Even if this is possible you need to be aware before doing so that THIS IS NOT SUPPORTED BY CISCO.

If you want a supported method then you need to switch to H323
