Hi all,
I'm attempting to configure CUBE for Lineside phone support so that I can register third party SIP devices with Digest Authentication outside of our firewall. We have MRA handling Cisco devices today. We are planning on deploying some third party software and would greatly prefer the softphone capability (SIP to CUCM registration) to work without having to be on VPN.
We've followed the steps outlined by Mike White here https://ciscocollab.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/cube-sip-lineside-phone-vpn-configuration/#comments as well as via the Cisco guide https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube_interop/configuration/15-mt/cube-interop-15-mt-book/voi-cucm-lineside.html.
What's concerning is that neither of these guides mention the ability to register a third party SIP device via this line side method. Can anyone confirm this capability and that this is the correct path?
We've made the necessary gateway configuration. CUCM fails with a 405 message. We're running version Version 15.5(3)M6 of IOS. CUCM version 11.5.
Any tips for getting this working would be greatly appreciated!
